RS HADER are Ruza Rajcic and Hana Schärer. After studies in fashion design and internships working together they founded their own label in 2012. Their first collection was presented at Mode Suisse the same year. Their principal aim as designers is to create honest clothes that carry their own mysticism by using a precise design vocabulary. Reduced shapes and distinct graphic elements in their prints, also build the formal center of their new collection “From A to A”. The combination of straight, almost austere cuts with playful and more feminine details, was inspired by Amelia Earhart, Annemarie Schwarzenbach, Alice Schalek und Alexandra David-Néel; pioneers in the fields of travel journalism, aviation and war correspondence. Four women that not only shared the letter „A“ in their first names but above all crossed borders, geographically and ideologically. While their work in male dominated territories shaped their stories, it also resonated strongly in their appearances, which were often masculine while never giving up their female identity. With the collection “From A to A” they induce the spirit of these pioneers into the present, narrated from a personal perspective.
