huber egloff

The brand huber egloff was founded by Andreas Huber and Raúl Egloff Alcaide in 2012 in Zurich, Switzerland. They have gained extended experiences in international fashion brands such as Balmain and Lanvin in Paris, Kostas Murkudis in Berlin, and in collaborations with Mykita and Coccinelle.
At last they worked successfully together at the well-known brand Akris in Switzerland. huber egloff’s philosophy stands for the power of unexpected contrasts. The collection is marked by a strong sensuality, high quality fabrics and innovative cuts.
The garments are wearable, but at the same time challenging. huber egloff‘s aesthetic combines inventive creation with highest comfort. There are several finely interwoven references. Louise Bourgeois’ Fabric Works, for instance, served as key inspiration for fabrics and cuts as well as conceptual fashion from the sixties.

The standout-fabric is terry cotton.

The idea is to take an everyday product and to put it into a luxurious context. They source the terry from Weseta AG, a small manufacturer situated in a Swiss mountain village. Its unique weaving technique makes exceptionally fluffy terry cloth. The use of terry cotton in a high-end prêt-à-porter collection is their signature and it is a novelty on the market!
The key element is the combination of contemporary sportswear and couture fabrics. Breathable high tech jersey, which feels like neopren. Then silk georgette and satin, which is perfectly cooling in summer season.
