Heinrich Brambilla

«Perfection is what Heiner Wiedemann aspires to. The cuts are highly complex, and the work extremely elaborate,» said Sigrid Pallmert, Curator of the Swiss National Museum, describing the creative activity of Heiner Wiedemann.
«Heiner Wiedemann exudes this kind of elegance, reminding us of the forties – a time when elegance was an indispensable accompaniment to fashion.»
In Wiedemann’s work, the body is emphasised. His approach is that of Sculptor, with form reaching out to occupy space. Short-lived trends have little influence on his collections – he rather aims at continuity of signature. Wiedemann entered the world of fashion after having studied Archaeology and History of Art, acquiring his expertise for the most part on an autodidactic basis.

With the increasingly faster rhythm of distribution, he knowingly decided to slow down the process of his work. It was a logical step forward to encouraging his claims for quality of design, perfection and craft. The resulting intense Couture-Collections for his label Heinrich Brambilla are shown once or twice a year in a private showroom. All shapes can be ordered custom-made.
