Christa de Carouge is a Swiss brand founded in 1978 by Christa Furrer. The Basel-born designer grew up in Zurich and firstly worked as a graphic artist, before working as a fashion designer in Geneva from 1965 onwards. Her Zurich studio opened in 1988. Throughout her career, she has organised many important exhibitions, performances and workshops in Switzerland and abroad. Christa de Carouge has been a key figure in Swiss fashion for many years, also creating costumes for theatre and dance pieces. Her shop in Zurich is a mirror onto her timeless and unique style.

Christa de Carouge's show at Mode Suisse will include many pieces of her last "collection noire" but also some of her key pieces from the past years. The Mode Suisse organizers are very proud and touched to honour Christa de Carouge for her last official presence on the fashion scene: The grande dame will say goodbye to fashion at the end of the year.
